Bella owns a Mac?

i know this entry will cost me. Probably twilight fanatics will hunt me down and eat me alive after reading this:

Oh my God! I couldn’t believe I was watching it… after being a total loser who read the book, I waited for 2weeks after the opening night to go to the movie theater and watch it… alone!

It was like watching a CHEAP indie film…no, wait-- it was worse than watching a cheap indie film… the flashbacks were like watching a documentary of a crime scene… heck, discovery channel’s crime shows were better than this movie..

And what is with the nodding? And their (edward and bella's) jaws.. there was a moment in the film where I want to unhinge bella’s jaw and move it myself… and the batting of the eyes… were her eyes supposed to bat that much? I mean seriously… she didn’t even seem to be flirting with Edward whenever she did that…and what is with the flying? And the chase, that was it? Where was the part where Alice had tons of visions? And the mind reading part, they didn’t give much emphasis on that..

If my eyes could bleed at that moment, they probably had a hemorrhage after the first 30 minutes. Rather, I would have enjoyed poking my eyes out so I could stop watching…

And the tandem, wow, it’s so… arrggg… they gave a new meaning to awkward (thank you pao and van) for the right word.. wait-- Individually, they were ok…

It’s probably just the OC me or my impossibly high standards who wants the movie to have nailed the novel down to the most minute detail, but maaan... Even harry potter (the first movie) pleased me, so why couldn’t this film have the same effect? I’m sorry but the movie didn’t give the novel justice… And spidermonkey? really? did edward really say that in the book? i can't remember.. if he did, it sounded better in my head.. no, wait, the whole novel sounded better in my head..

After an hour, it felt like it was the longest film I’ve watched in a long time…well, it’s probably my newest Norbit.

It’s probably half of meyer’s fault for being new in the business and all that-- selling the novel short for a low-budgeted film. Even Bridge of Terabithia had budget for better effects.

But amidst all my hate for it, there is one part that I enjoyed... the baseball game.. that was impressive.. And Michael Welch captured newton's character perfectly.

i want a remake! (preferably under Bruckheimer productions)

or we can just wait and see what damage control the next director will manage to conjure up.

6. not go to mass in Sto Domingo on the 31st (parent's wedding anniv, tradition)

me: ano nga pong number yun? para matrace ko kung anong name yung nakasave dito..instant kaaway ba ito? i was just informing the people whose numbers have been saved in my phonebook na may bago akong number...tska sino ba husband mo? di ko naman siya kilala eh...eh there are like 3 guy's numbers saved here in my phone..bawal bang mawrong send? and nagtext ako sa mga tao ng 6am, e sa gising ako nun eh...pero promise, if you feel so insecure- trust me, I DON'T KNOW YOUR HUSBAND.

girl: shit! don't explain your side that way..at first you need to say sorry sa kagagahang gnawa mo...0922*******..jan ka nagtxt ng ganyan ka aga..and dats my husbands number! not mine...dats y i was damn surprised sa msg mo...

(i honestly thought i was being pranked...dahil...wow..hahahahahaaha..nakakatawa lahat ng sinasabi niya at pagkasabi niya.. at first? oh tapos ngayon, ano na?)

so i treated myself with another sausage mcmuffin because of the 3-night-shifting-streak i had going on...3 nights down, 1 more to go! yeaahhhh.. i will ask them to spare me from any night duties next week... yehey

so i went down mcdo (WENT DOWN MCDO? WHAT THE HECK WALANG SENSE... went down at mcdo)... and started thinking about the things that were going on. again, you may think i'm a fool but mcdo marcos highway does have that effect...

i missed (MISSED? THE FEELING IS/WAS GONE...miss) having the month-long trips to the south (cebu-surigao) or north (pagudpud-vigan) stopping at every town. taking time breathing in the culture. and then i suddenly wondered why everything (all of a sudden) started being about money,(SUDDENLY-ALL OF A SUDDEN?! MAY SUDDENLY NA NGA MAY ALL OF A SUDDEN PA! HAHAHAHAHA...SARAP..REDUNDANT MUCH!) what the "next step" should be. or how to bring in the big-ger bucks! chaching!

sunday. night shift.

monday 6am. home. 12:30pm. back to the hospital. DOH meeting. 4pm. home. 10pm. night shift.

nice. real nice.

so the DOH representative told me bakit naman ang bata mong nagwwork? ayan di ka tuloy pwedeng magduty magisa.

so feeling frustrated, i said. "i'm as competent and as effective as my co-workers. age should not be a reason to hold me back from what i am capable of doing. so what kung 20 lang ako. the philippine law sucks."

the DOH was shocked. and i was immediately fired for disrespecting a government official.

yeah, i wish.

true naman yung sinasabi niya eh. na dapat i should just stay home for a while. take my time. or at least have a plan.

tama rin ang sinabi niya, in her words "saling pusa" lang naman talaga ako dun. nahihilo ako twing tapos na ang duty ko. at ngayonn ko lang nabasa ung contract ko... oh did i mention, ngayon lang ako pumirma ng contract ko. i think it states that i should stay for a minimum of 2 years before i can resign after my probationary period which will end on february next year.

or at least that's what i think it said. i was so out of my mind, that i just stared and the labels while waiting for my contract.

plan. i need one. someone give me one. because right now my only plans are: have my hair curled permanently, watch twilight, and check if i could sell my ipaq and buy a new phone.

it must be the uniform

what is it with me and random people who love to spill their deepest darkest secrets (more like problems)?

so after a definitely bangag night with the interns (who mind you are older than me), i decided to treat myself with my favorite breakfast meal in mcdo. so i went down a stop earlier from the hospital and started to walk to mcdo marcos highway. i did have a rough night, with the almost progressing anaphylactic reaction and my sleepless 30 hours was slowly passing by... imagine how much i wanted to wrap myself with my brown blanky and just lay my head on a pillow.

so sausage egg mcmuffin there i went. (crap talk). i sat in one of those comfy nooks with dim lights and started to munch on my crispy hash brown. started toying with my psp then finally got tired. my thoughts strayed to how much i wanted to explain to everyone who would stop and stare and find me companyless that i wasn't the only one sitting alone. then it started to trail to how alone was fine blah blah the whole enchalada.

then all of a sudden an old man came to my sight distracting me. my ears were plugged with usher's what's your name when i realized he was talking to me.

man: iha, uupo akong nakatalikod sa'yo ha..
me: cge po (all smiles and started biting again)

man's phone suddenly rang. and because my sense of hearing was blocked by my earphones, it sounded like kapangpangan. when i later realized he was talking in english. the conversation ended. and the old man turned to me

man: nurse ka iha?
me: ay hindi po. pharma po ako.
man: ahhh.maganda magnurse ngayon, mabilis makapunta sa states
me:haha. oo nga po eh.
man: yun ung tumawag kanina, nurse un! mataas sweldo nila dun. $48 dollars per hour. mga pharmacists maganda din magtrabaho dun, un nga lang mas madali makapunta dun kapag nurse ka.
me: oo nga po, mas madali lang talaga pag nurse
man:2 courses na ung anak ko na un eh. nung una computer, kaso masyadong maraming radiation, kaya pinagnursing ko nalang
me: ahhh

me: (almost tempted to change the subject by asking whether he knew castillejos) ahh, kaya no pong solusyunan ang problema niyo tay. pde niyo pong (--give advice--)

I enjoy listening to people's problems. I do. I really do. not that i love to see them in agony because i don't. i just feel a personal satisfaction whenever someone spills. It makes me think I can help someone in need in such a short time. makes no sense huh

but yeah, we do miss the "its" that seems to have started crumbling into shit. =)

ps: don't worry this isn't another blog about twilight. although i do prefer the feisty jake in eclipse rather than the whiney one in new moon =)

don't judge the book by it's genre

told you, it just takes a minute dose for me to be addicted to something.

so i finished twilight in 5 days. started new moon last night ended it this morning. 3 and a half hours later, i finished it. wow. beats my harry potter record

it isn't as bad as i thought it would be. i'm starting to like edward. funny thing is i started liking him the moment he let go of bella. talk about sado-masochism. haha. by now you shouldn't be surprised i love being that way.

it's good i gave this "saga", as monik likes to put it, a chance. and this is exactly the reason why i love reading. it's just the flow, rather the gush of words that pours out to your ear just as if someone were reading it to you. every author has their unique style. and my cousin was right- the way meyer described-sets the ambiance by describing the wakening of bella every morning has got to be the best parts of the book.

and so you see the difference between twilight and new moon. the mark of being a describer immediately wore off and trailed into narrating. and that probably made me miss meyer describing edward's expression in new moon. because bluntly, there was no edward to describe.

backtracking to twilight, the description of the somewhat heavenly face of edward turned from intiguing to just plain annoying. until you realize that (in new moon) that was what you were mostly reading and what you suddenly miss.

of course, my mere irritation of mushy, cheesy lines being thrown by the two characters is enough to know that i'm still not into this love story thing.. but all in all, it is quite different from what i would read. after all, we do have to broaden our perspectives. and for that, i'm giving the saga a thumbs up, after all, he IS a "baduy vampire"

being a far-off genre than what i'd usually read didn't stop me from guessing the twists and turns of the book.

hey, if it weren't 3am, i would be shouting "I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT! TWILIGHT PALANG, I ALREADY KNEW IT!" hahaha. so much for surprises. i know i know, i'm such a geek.

on a lighter note, i did have a good day with my cats. I thought kyo was sick. he looked particularly lethargic yesterday. but then again, he is the descendant of garfield. what with looking exactly like garfield. thing is he never let's us touch him.. he probably felt particularly lazy yesterday to ward us off...

AAAARRGGGG. DAMN IT. a late post

august 30,2008

i woke up today unaware of where i was. due to habit, i checked my phone lazily.. saw that waiyan texted me, reminding me that i was replacing maam dianne because she begged for a double off. so instead of going to work at 8am, my shift will start at 10am. shit. i checked the clock. it mocked me by saying it was exactly 6am.again. SHIT.

i tried to go back to sleep. unsuccessful, i wandered around our house. growing tired of the view, seeing that everyone even the help was still asleep, i suddenly realized i'm supposed to finish twilight. so i got the copy from my room, brought it to my mom's bed and started reading.

by 8am,i was starting to feel sleepy again.but this time, i had to get ready because before going to work, my mom and i had to pick up my altered scrub suit from the tailor. by 9am, i was following my mom around, asking her to move in a glacial pace because it was almost 9:30 and i still had to leave for work.

again, i miscalculated the time. it took less than 5mins to travel to the tailor, get my scrubs and change into one. but, I HATE BEING LATE. so i decided to be early, since it was a saturday and staying in the pharmacy wouldn't be such a pain because there aren't a lot of patients during the weekends because most of the doctors were going to Subic.

i couldn't be more wrong in my life. i arrived at the pharmacy by quarter to 10. and started moving. akala ko tinamaan lang ako ng ka-oc-han ko. but NO. from the time i set foot on the pharmacy, hindi lang siya "bakit parang di ako nauubusan ng gagawin." more like "bakit parang dumadami ung dapat kong gawin"

for the first 3 hours, i enjoyed the thrill of having to deliver the meds in a continous pace.. by the time my superior left, 2 nalang kami... and i checked the pile of charge slips..grabe!

by 3pm, my back was killing me because kahong kahon at mga bote ng dextrose ang pinagbubuhat ko for almost 5 hours.then we started the unit dose and by 4pm, i literally wanted to give up and cry... throw a tantrum- but i couldn't. i'm not a kid anymore, we have to act maturely..by 5pm kala ko makakapagcharge na ako, pero baba pa din ng baba ng charge slips to dispense. the sir marcial (the hr head) passed by the pharmacy at gusto kong sabihin "i quit" and leave... kung di lang maiiwan si maam aimee magisa dun. pero kasi even if kept on asking, medyo alam ko naman that somehow, i'm helping... by 5:45, i was able to start charging the mountainSSSS of charge slips in front of us. di pa ako nangalahati sa isang floor, it was already 6pm.. so i bade goodbye to maam aimee and wished her luck. staring at those charge slips, i felt sorry for the next few shifts.. mukhang di mauubos sa 3 shifts ang charging ng mga un...

shortlived book-re-worming

i started reading twilight but it's taking me longer than usual because of my allergies and because of eureka...

i'm actually suprised that i'm enjoying a sci-fi series because i usually brand them as unbelievable or it's not going to happen.. but eureka, it's actually fun to probe around what could happen in the future... oh an i love carter's crib..

i'm also actually surprised that i'm enjoying twilight... oh wait, enjoyed twilight...for the first 2 chapters...

big mistake kasi..i thought sean biggerstaff was the one playing edward cullen... un pala it's robert pattinson (played cedric diggory).. to think i was starting to fall in love with edward cullen imagining biggerstaff do the character's actions in the book... oh well, wrong harry potter character... hahaha... love love love sean biggerstaff, sorry

but still, i'll probably finish the book especially since when i arrive home after work, all i ever do is lie down...or maybe that's all i ever want to do..i'm tired.. oo na, for the people who want to say "i told you so, you should have rested for another month" oo na ok...but there's no backing out to this... i'm no quitter

anyhoooo, it's been so long and i'm lost without you so what am i gonna do said i've been needing you and wanting you-- bwahahaha, again with that song!..but i do miss reading..but right now it's taking a whole lot of my time. the last time i read was my birthday last year..the last book of harry potter.. it took me 5 hours (9pm-2am) to finish that book. i remember feeling distinctly depressed on my birthday because the installment was through...oh well.. let's see where this new set goes..to end, i'm posting a sean biggerstaff picture..hehehe

it's the 4th day in a row where i find myself waking up in the thoughts of what's the generic name of this, that, which row is this that, which shelf is this and that.. PARANG BOARD EXAM lang eh no...minus the pressure of passing plus the pressure of turning myself from a liabilty to an asset.. hayyy, mentally disturbed lang

yesterday, the radio in the pharmacy was on... i was groggy, sleepy and cranky, then out of nowhere (or out of the run of commercials) the dj said, "paano kung mahuli ka ng boss mo na natutulog sa oras ng trabaho mo?" wahhh..GUILTY.

but for real, it was a saturday morning where i should be flipping through the channels, and end up watching reruns or cartoons... and at that moment, i wanted to lie down sa mga suero...dextrose..mga kahong parang mga trabahador naming binuhat... sakit sa likod..hehehe

and then

ta-daaa...not only did he go down to give me charge slips but he gave me 5 trays of returns..hahaha..tinoxic niya ako...but at least, conversation wise, it was a "different" day... from that time on, pag bumababa siya with his logbook, tawa lang kami ng tawa..ang kulit kasi, mantoxic ba daw...

hmmm...then, someone texted, and i got even more excited...but how does excitement go to just plain "you make me want to barf" in just an hour...kaya talaga, you should keep me in the black...in mystery... ayun lang..that's the explanation of the last paragraph of the previous blog...

first, is there such thing as "im not in my element"? because if there is, i haven't been in my element lately...draggggg...

third, ayoko na..i'm not talking about work but here's a clue: i have my limits and i'm not appreciating what you're doing anymore... a normal person would probably not only appreciate it but jump right into it...well, i don't need to be taken care of, because i know how to take care of myself...kaya stop na please... i'm totally grossed out with the words already...sorry, ABNORMAL ako eh

charge slip dilemma

i think you think i'm stupid for passing the opportunity of training in st lukes. sabi nga, baka forever ko isipin ang what if di ako pumunta sa interview...but then again, it goes two ways... baka mag-what if i did go for the interview and trained. hahaha...labo

oh well, my parents were the ones who already decided na wag nalang..

but there was a mix-up with the charge slips..hay toxic kami tuloy...TOXIC...literally...

hired na ako sa marikina valley medical center... tas i'm working there as a trainee or in other words, nagttrain na ako for 2 weeks..in another 2 weeks, pro-b na ako...

tas kasi naman itong st luke's bonifacio global city, tumawag kanina... 2:30 daw ang interview ko tom...

so since i have work on the 19th (coming home from work takes about an hour) and by 7pm, i'll be leaving again for the party with the relatives, parang nonsense na maginvite sa 19 ng mga tao kung after an hour and a half kelangan mo na silang paalisin or iwanan.. that's why my mom decided to invite some people for dinner (5pm) at don henrico's brick road

2 realizations: 1. ganun na pala kabusy ang lahat ng tao no? 2. i never knew someone could feel happy and sad at the same time

out of the 15 persons who i texted, half of them replied, and out of the 8 who replied, 2 lang ang pumunta..bummer, way to make myself feel special diba? bakit kasi 14 pa ung tinext ko?haha... can't say i'm actually happy about that..but ayun... short notice much.. hmm, mom ko kasi nung 5am lang niya sinabi sa akin..at least 3 kami diba?

siguro over the years, i've been wishing for a birthday full of RnR and when i finally invited people,that's when God gave me a birthday of RnR...or better yet, my birthday grinch philosophy finally paid off.

ano ba yan nagdrama pa ako, sanay naman ako maging loner..hahaha...at di pala talaga sa akin bagay ang magdrama..anyhoo, that's how i really felt

but then pagdating sa don hen at nakita ko na si kataroo (na galing oang manaoag, pangasinan) at si boyet (na galing sa lessons niya), i felt better.. and it was the tropang lrt all over again.. and that made me real HAPPY (parang grade 1 ang nagsusulat no?)..them coming was more than enough reason to celebrate by pigging out..

pizza, pasta and buffalo wings...di namin nakain ung cake dahil sobrang busog na kami...so to the 2 most wonderful people in the entire universe(2+1 [naintindihan ko namang kelangan pa magbarko ung isa bago makarating sa manila, pero me cake parin siyang dala..hehe]), thankkk youuuuuuu, love you guys mwah

since medyo marami nang nakakaalam na may "work" na ako, i can blog about it na...

so, i'm pretty happy about my work dahil sobrang no sweat ang pagkapasok ko... i passed the resume online, got a call, interview, exam, interview, then interview ulit... one day observe observe, the next day orientation, at ngayon ako nalang magisang training dun... masaya naman siya... for once di ako tingin ng tingin sa orasan kasi time flies sa hospital na un...

pero like i told everyone who found out i have work, temporary lang to, until i'm sure sure sure SURE and very sure about my future with medicine would be... i'm estimating 6 months that'll be around february and around the time that they would lift my probationary status...hahaa..di ko man lang matitikman ang maging regular...

the thing is,i'm enjoying it...but not to the point that i wouldn't wish to continue studying... so un, med or not, i'll leave that hospital on february... look for better fish (if med is not feasible)

hmmm, ano pa ba?

i'm going to be 20 soon, yuck and wow... bakit di na ako teens but i still look like i'm in high school?hahahaha... what happened to my 19th year? bakit ang bilis? anyhoooo, at least this year di ako magssulk at magppuyat kakabasa ng harry potter dahil may work akong iisipin...

so yun, di ko narin alam nangyayari kay christiu...hahaha..kainis naman ohhh..di na ako nakanood ng game..

di ko din pala alam sweldo ko..oh diba...for a learning experience's sake lang ata talaga to..

oh and ohhhhh..hahahaha... there's something that makes me keep on waking up early and commuting to mvmc everyday.. can anyone guess? hayyyy, where's your charge slip?hahaha... well that reason and the part where i can wear a scrub suit all day feeling like i'm wearing my pj's while walking around the hospital..hahaha...

since medyo may excitement na ang buhay ko eto na

the entry's title has a whole lot of meanings...

lets start with yesterday,

ikai and i were supposed to pass our resume sa heart center and national kidney institute... when i was aboard the train wearing my corporate attire, Grace texted me na di pde magpass ga't walang NBI clearance...

backtracking, the day before yesterday, pinagusapan namin ni caeg ung bday ni kat...the original plan was i would give her flowers...i had no money to buy load so what more can you expect from me buying flowers... so night came up the land of philippines, i decided pupuntahan ko na nga si kat kasi bday naman niya, ang lapit ko lang.. so i scheduled my resume passing sa heart center the next day so i would have a reason to go out and get extra money... mga 10pm, chasty texted me that they were going to visit kat...wow, dami naming nakaisip na puntahan siya.. and my my, talk about good timing..

so yun back to--- i decided not to go home, go straight to ust to just wander around... ended up meeting with the med guys who di naman ako kinausap dahil they had this test sa biochem.. and gracia, who will be having her defense of their first chapter later that day...

an hour later, ikai arrived ust... oo, kahit alam niyang wlaa kaming mapapala, we probably had the same idea na ayaw na muna namin sa bahay... so yun nagwendy's kami... and talked for about 3-4 hours..tagal diba?!hahaha.. then malapit na mag-3, lynyrd followed (cut his biochem lecture) and nakipagdaldalan ng unti... then it was time to go to the dela cruz's residence...

oh but i had extra money to buy a PETITE cake...sorry kat, yan ang tawag sa poor..hahahaha

p tuazon-- andun na sila gladys, jessa, triccia, chasty and celso.. turns out lahat din kami bum with a capital BBBBBB...hahaha... maaannn, and may i just be brave enough to mention, it's been awhile since i've been with their company and honestly i was fidgeting while i was still aboard the lrt...but as soon as i entered kat's house, the fidgeting stopped because i guess there was still a LOOOOT of catching up to do... and heck everything was normal and FUN just like it was 2007 again and that is probably a good thing...

by 5pm, i was declaring to leave...but as usual, kahit ako unang nagssabing uuwi, i was the last to leave... because i had to wait for boyet who was soooo late..kasi me SWELDO na siya..hahaha... oh and oh, nilibre niya ako ng taxi ride pauwi... ohhh sarap ng libre..hahaha... too bad he has to leave soon for mindanao...he won't probably even be here on my birthday... which is all good, kasi WALANG HANDA...ayan haaa...we have balikbayans so, the feasting will either be done in the province or with relatives..

oh and as usual, masarap na naman ang food kela kat... hahaha.... never changed..nung nagiintern palang kami sa qmmc, they always cooked us scrumptous meals..too bad i was still full with wendy's

so anyway, baeba was constantly texting me while i was at kat's house and we agreed that we would meet today sa quiapo church...first time ko pa naman magcommute all by myself sa quiapo..hahaha...so we filed our NBI clearance, and it was not at all disappointing...because unlike PRC, it was systematic... and in less than an hour, me certificate na ako..yey!!!

i just learned that PRC was supposed to move to a new building but they refused to because "masisira ung system nila"... baeba and i were like, what system?!

anyhooo...this day was really productive because besides filing for an nbi clearance, i got my barangay clearance and another cedula. to add more to the already productive day, i finally enrolled for driving lessons..yes, i'm 19 and still don't know how to drive..i'm not completely knowledge-less, but still need expert coaching to get a license..hehe

so that's 2 g-turned-c girls i've been with in this week... and still looking forward to seeing lea soon but God knows where she is..hahaha...because i certainly don't... pero buti pa si lea, she remembered my birthday, and what's cooler is she even reminded me!hahaha... but yeah, boyet totally forget thattt..hahaha..kaya kami tawa ng tawa kahapon

ayunnn...tomorrow, Gracia's going to accompany me to kidney institute after i have my diploma photocopied...

i have this goal na dapat before aug 15, i already have a job... then toni Grande texted me if i was interested in tutoring her students.. and I AM...really, my dad just thinks its a bad idea kasi it's not pharma related..devil's advocate talaga parents ko no?Hahaha.. howellll... still priority ko pa din ang pharmacist..i think..hahhaha

psych and monk are back...yey!!! actually the new season has been running for three weeks now. and may i say, rachel leigh cook guesting in the second episode of psych was really cool although panalo pa din si julia.

csi... new york... don flack...hay don flack..hahaha... too bad the danny-montana tandem is over (forgot what montana's name is).. but of course hanging parin ang season finale.what with the hostage taker being the "Real" suspect... i prefer new york right now because it has the fast-paced story among the other csi's.. like the major case will take 3-4 episodes to unveil unlike miami and vegas, the major case is the season-long case...bo-ring..next season will start on september 24, 2008

gossip girl...my sister hates it... hated it too at first then i liked it..but yeah, medyo ayoko na rin.. just like looking at their clothes...and i still like blair-chuck but that'll end soon too.. next season: september 1, 2008

mali talaga... i was asking for a divine intervention in terms of helping me figure out what to do with my life when i didn't even make a move to help..

but oh well, now i'm open to all my options

cinontact ko ung mga taong alam kong may knowledge about this... so sa mga tinanongan ko, thank you

after a whole lot of thinking, i narrowed my options to these:

1. heart center (my opening daw dito)
2. try medical city (since si ate mukhang dun na din, we can bring the car pag pasok)
3. try ust (jenaaaaa, help!)
4. try med express (bernice ang nagintroduce sa akin sa idea, at mukha naman siyang maganda..it'll also be a nice trying for the us setup
5. masters (pde to gawin kahit nagttrabaho, of course most probably sa ust, but next sem pa to pdeng simulan..but as they said, mas magandang magmasters after a couple of years of experience)
6. ust med- syempre aapply pa din ako, i think
7. asmph med (how redundant.. kaya ateneo school of medicine and public health.. kung iisipin, even if the tuition fee's higher, it'll cost me a lil less because it's just around the corner..ok maybe it isn't but since si ate medical city, pde kaming sabay ulit)
8. abroad- although this may take years of preparation, i also narrowed it down to: canada, UK and malaysia..

i already eliminated states because, di naman talga nila cinecredit ang 4 year curriculum namin and it'll be way harder than canada.australia naman, it has 5 stages + oral + practical which will amount to about P500k minimum excluding travel fee and accomodations

Canada- priority ko siguro itong country na to.. because besides the fact that it accredits our 4 year curriculum, may way talaga makapunta dito ng wala masyadong hirap, it'll take years but it will take years in any other country to establish yourself in (walang sense).

UK- The Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.. wow that sounds so... grand..haha... i've lived in a british colony for more than 8 years, and i loved it... so more or less, acclimatized na ako sa culture nila.besides that, easier makapasok dito compared to the states, kung bakit naman kasi napakahigpit sa states... oh and i'll earn in pounds.. big wow.. 1 quid= P90.16 as of july 16, 2008

Malaysia- the ever eternal malaysia... even before i took the board exams, i already looked on the jobs they can actually offer to my profession (again no sense).. i still love this place, but it requires at least a year experience..madali lang yun gawin dito

Med- syempre di ko parin tinaggal ito sa mga options ko.. there's stil this 1/1000000 chance na pumayag sila... but di ko na din dapat to gawing priority... because, someday i'll learn how to deal with it maturely..but as for this issue:
ASMPH- i'm leaning towards this because new environment, lower student: teacher ratio and cheaper for me. i figured even if it were a new school, i don't think ateneo would dare venture their reputable name if they would put incompetent professors, right? and i think if i were in their administration, for me to be a competent school, i would definitely invest on good teachers/doctors... and what's good with this school (i think/ observed) they don't leave their students hanging without a job.
UST- no need for acclimitization again, my friends who i think can help me are there and the old dorm can again help me, maraming med students dun eh, so I can ask for their advice, borrow stuff, blah blah.. what else? tried and tested? although medyo malaki ang student:teacher ratio

still want want want want med.. oh and this time, mom ko ang nagsuggest to think about ASMPH

Medexpress- sounds like they have a good offer according to how bernice briefed me the other day. as i said, american set-up so i can practice myself to that...downside is, di pa sanay ang mga pinoy sa ganun, so i guess less costumerS?

UST Hospital-although feeling ko walang opening, i'd like to put this in my choices, kasi i had my major internship there, medyo memorize ko pa ung space and again, just a train away. pinapatanong ko lang kay jena sa mom niya kung me opening, she'll give the go signal

Medical City- sana pwede pa, kung hindi:

Heart Center- yeahhhh, i'm pretty sure dito meron! oh and what's good with this hospital is specialized government siya...good for my resume

Masters- sabi nga ni ching, it'll cost less, and advantage for the canadian visa.. what's wrong with this is it'll take me more or less 2 years before i'll be confident to enroll in a class.

so there, choices. i've decided to not be selfish and share the pros and cons i came up with so i could help those who are also as confused on the future as i am..

i came from a family of planners, and my grandfather would seriously scold me if i'd come to him:

1. without foresight- this includes thinking about not only next month, but for the next 5-10 years.. di ka nga naman mabubuhay kung ang iisipin mo lang ay next month diba? well, i won't. i just want to be secure that by the time i'm 25 (without med) or 28 (with med), i'll be earning, self-sufficient, self-supporting and out of this house. AND
   
2. i'm still this thin..maaannnnnn, what do i have to do to have a little fat in me??? kain tulog na nga lang ginagwa ko eh... i eat 5 times a day, kanin un haaa
   

see, who said i was slugging around like a little leach... probably one of the reasons why i don't go online anymore, i want to think on my own for a while, catch news from those who've already joined the workforce. so there.. draw lots nalang siguro..or toss coin..hahahaha

test na O'ne sia mera plus jamais...

May naaalala ka ba sa mga ito? Kulang
pa ang mga alaalang naisulat ko dito
ngayon. Siguro marami pa kayong
naiisip na iba. Lahat tayo ang may
iba’t ibang karanasan sa Santa
Eskolastika, may iba’t ibang
tinambayan, may kanya-kanyang
pamamaraan ng pagkopya sa exam, mga
kaibigan na akala mo hindi mo
makakasundo pero kayo rin pala ang
magiging matalik na kaibigan, ang mga
barkada mong lagi mong kasama, mga
pagkain na kihahiligan tuwing lunch at
mga teacher na napagtripan. Kung
iisipin halos 10 taon tayong nag-aaral
para lang may matutunan. 10 taon
tayong pinagpapakahirapan ng ating mga
magulang para makatapos. 10 taon na
ang naging pangalawang tahanan natin
ay ang Santa Eskolastika.
Sana wag tayong makalimot sa mga gawi
na itinuro ng institusyon.

Ito HALOS lahat ang mga pinagdaanan ng
batch naming mula Prep hanggang HS.
Kami nga pala ang PINAKAHULING batch
ng nakaranas ng TRADISYONAL na Gawain
sa SSAM. After ng graduation namin iba
na ang namuno kaya nag-iba narin ang
pamamalakad. Kami ang huling batch na
may pinakamahigpit na namumuno at kami
naman ang pinakadisiplinado at
mapagkumbabang estudyante. Pero lahat
naman ng pagbabago ay may magandang
naidudulot. Mas naging kilala ang
SSAM. Mas naging mapaglikha o creative
ang mga estudyante ng SSAM. At gumanda
rin ang kapaligiran ng institusyon.
At sana ay maging active din tayong
lahat na SCHOLASTICANS sa pagiging
ALUMNI ng St. Scholastica’s Academy of
Marikina.

Please don’t spoil, just pass….

a few things to add....

1) earth day - yearly activity nung GS pa kame kung saan naglalakad kame nang nakapaa sa lupa

2) club day - nung GS ito yung parang camping day namin - every club may spot sa field at nandun lang kame buong araw

3) teachers' day - dati teachers' week yun na ginawang teachers' day

4) okoy - yung monggo sprouts na may carrots, string beans at konting ground pork na nakabalot sa lumpia wrapper na deep fried

5) chocolate mousse, chocolate beehive - may isang concessionaire na ito ang binebenta; napakahaba ng pila dito noon nung una silang nagbukas

6) junk food - pinagbawal ang junk food sa school kaya wala kang makikitang softdrinks at chips sa canteen

7) goya chocolates or kitkat - ito lang ang mga chocolate bars na pwede mo mabili noon sa canteen...tapos nauso na yung Tofi Luk, Safari at iba-ibang chocolate bars na galing sa Malaysia(?) na gawa ng Gandour

8) crinkles at revel bar - masarap sila hehehe...ang alam ko former kulasa rin ang gumagawa nito

8) breakfast meal - for Php25 may tocilog ka na may juice pa! sulit na sulit 'to noon at sakto kapag hindi ka nakakain ng breakfast. parating mahaba ang pila dito kaya sorry ka na lang pag naubos na ang gusto mong ulam.

9) math academe activities - ang weekly collection para sa scholar, peer tutoring at higit sa lahat ang pagbibilang ng ballots tuwing election. anu na nga uli ang tawag sa student council natin nung HS?

10) grad song - hindi naging successful ang song fest/competition para sa grad song natin kaya yung kay Pyvez na lang yung ginamit...may issue rin noon tungkol sa kanta ni Hoku na "You First Believed"

11) choral fest - naaalala niyo pa ba yung lyrics ng "Ngiti" ? anung country niyo nung 2nd year?

12) dramatization ng buhay ni St. Benedict tuwing feast day

13) feast day ng saint na section mo - kapag feast day ng section mo kayo ang magsasalita sa PA para mag-lead ng prayer service at minsan babatiin ka ng mga kakilala mo ng "happy feast day"
